Fun Raising Funds

By June 10, 2016Uncategorized

Today I leave Dingle and head back toward Manchester.

I’ve had a great week of chilling and going to the beach, spending time with my family and meeting friends old and new.

The fundraising in Dingle this past week has been phenomenal and by yesterday when I went to visit Camphill for a celebratory ‘tea and cake’ I had a bag with around €6,000 in cash and cheques to give them. That, coupled with the almost €5k already raised hiked the Camphill total up to €11,000. Crazy good!

So I want to thank a few great people and businesses in Dingle for taking in sponsorship cards and for organising an amazing event or 2 as well;

The incredible TRIONA DUIGNAN who orgainsed the Walk for Aoife gig – and raised around €1300! Super fundraising there and also thanks so much to her team, including Dowdy, DJ Phil, the fantastic musicians including Eoin Duignan, Steve Cooney, Teresa Horgan and Matt Griffin and of course New Jackson’s (David Kitt) dance and house tracks which pulled a great crowd in. Buzzing night!

UTS Ltd who paid the Walk for Aoife fund €1000 in exchange for me taking photos of manhole covers! Fantastic idea!
